Capital preservation, particularly during those periods when stocks decline, is our first priority. Our services include manager sourcing (with a history of obtaining access to top tier managers) primarily through our personal network, initial due diligence (including on-site visits, reference checks, and operational reviews), hedge fund portfolio construction, and post-investment monitoring, including customized risk reports at the manager and portfolio level. Hammond Associates advises nearly $5 billion of hedge fund assets, the majority of which are invested directly in customized portfolios of hedge fund managers. In addition, we offer discretionary solutions exclusively for our clientele and fund-of-hedge funds manager recommendations and oversight.
